Walking

Enjoy the spectacular walks, either right from the house or in the heart of the Galloway Forest Park. The Southern Upland Way spur is only a mile from the house.

You can also try out the brand new Glenkens Pilgrims Way which follows the old drove road from Polmaddy to Carpshairn.  It's about 7.5k one way so allow yourself plenty of time to enjoy it.

If you enjoy a wild swim we have several beautiful river spots less than 10 minutes walk from the house and lovely beaches within an hour.
